Your work. Your choices.
How Taskcend uses information to keep your workspace working.
Last updated October 3, 2026
Your writing is part of your workspace. Account data is synchronized to provide Taskcend's features. Optional AI processing has a separate consent step. Taskcend does not use an advertising SDK or request permission to track you across other companies' apps and websites.
Who provides Taskcend
Taskcend is provided by Anton Ihnatenko. For questions about your information or to make a privacy request, contact contact@taskcend.com.
Information used to provide the app
- Account and access information: your email address, account identifier, sign-in information, and account access status. If you choose a social sign-in provider, it may also supply your display name and account metadata.
- Your workspace: tasks, project information, tags, dates, notes, daily pages, reflections, and the progress or focus-session records used to show history, XP, levels, and achievements.
- Optional voice drafts: audio you choose to transcribe is processed temporarily, without a stored recording archive. Transcribed text can remain in a saved draft and becomes a task or note when you choose to save it.
- Optional meaning-based search: the query you submit and writing permitted for AI in the selected scope are sent to OpenAI to provide relevant results.
- Support information: the information you choose to send when asking for help.
- Service operation: our hosting and authentication services process and retain technical information such as IP addresses, browser or device software information, sign-in events, request status, errors, and execution timing. Vercel also derives approximate city and country from IP addresses. This information helps deliver the service, protect accounts, diagnose failures, and maintain performance; it can be associated with an account or request.
Taskcend does not request access to your contacts, device location, photo library, camera, or HealthKit data for these features. Approximate location derived by hosting services from an IP address does not require device location permission.
Local work and account synchronization
Taskcend saves work locally so you can continue when a connection is unavailable. When you use an account space, workspace records are synchronized through Supabase. Device-only spaces stay on the device unless you choose to import or transmit their content through another feature.
Local drafts and pending changes can remain on a device until they are saved, synchronized, or removed. A local backup that you download is a separate copy under your control.
Optional AI features
AI reflections send the writing and completion evidence you select to OpenAI after confirmation. Meaning-based search sends your query and writing permitted for AI in the chosen search scope after consent. Voice transcription sends the recorded audio after you choose to transcribe it.
You can use ordinary tasks, notes, calendar planning, and local text search without sending that content to these AI features. Records marked as excluded from AI are excluded from AI writing selection; this setting does not disable normal account synchronization.
AI processing takes place through Taskcend's server. Under OpenAI's standard API settings, writing sent for AI reflections and meaning-based search queries may be retained for up to 30 days for abuse monitoring. Taskcend's AI reflection requests disable provider response storage; this does not disable abuse-monitoring retention. OpenAI does not use API data for model training by default. See OpenAI's API data controls.
Taskcend holds recording audio temporarily in memory and clears it when you close, discard, or save the draft. The server forwards audio for transcription without saving recording files or recording bytes in the account database. Under OpenAI's standard settings, its transcription endpoint does not retain audio for abuse monitoring or application storage. Saved transcripts and text drafts persist under the same storage rules as other writing.
Reminders and permissions
Native reminders require notification permission. Microphone permission is requested for voice recording. You can change these permissions in your device settings. Web push reminders, if enabled, use a browser push subscription to deliver alerts. Native notifications can display task information on your device according to your notification settings.
Service providers
Taskcend uses Supabase for authentication and synchronized account records, Vercel to host the website and application services, and OpenAI for the optional AI features described above. When you select Google or Apple sign-in, the selected provider handles the sign-in process under its own privacy policy. These services may process information outside your country. Their technical and authentication logs have provider-specific retention schedules; see Vercel's privacy notice and Supabase's authentication audit-log documentation.
Taskcend does not include third-party advertising or data-broker integrations. Your task and note content is not sold through the app.
Your choices and deletion
You can edit or remove records, exclude writing from AI selection, export saved workspace data with Backup, and revoke optional device permissions. To delete your account, open Account, choose Delete account, type DELETE, and confirm. If asked, sign in again and return to confirm deletion. Export anything you want to keep first: deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. If you cannot access your account, contact contact@taskcend.com for help. We verify account ownership before acting on a support request.
Account deletion removes the account and its associated active server records. It does not erase backups you downloaded, information you separately shared with another service, or unrelated device-only spaces. Copies held in service-provider backups or security logs can follow their retention schedules and are not necessarily removed at the same moment as active records.
For help with information already submitted through an optional provider feature, or an account registration that you have not completed, contact contact@taskcend.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting on an account-related request.
